From an early age Sue-Anne was exposed to music and taught guitar by her father, a man that has been a huge inspiration in her life. Ever since then writing songs and playing music is where Stewart has found her home. Drawing from a nomadic upbringing and her love of nature, her songs are personal and have developed into a powerful fusion of roots and folk that really highlights her strength in song writing.

The past decade has been a journey in discovering where she sits with her style of music.’Gypsy Blood’, Stewart’s sophomore album was released in 2013, and has painted a picture of exactly where she finds herself most comfortable. This is reflected in the feel-good vibes and love of life that is expressed with honesty, in her first single ‘Love Gets Sweeter’. The single was placed in the top 10 of the AirIt Charts for four consecutive weeks and has garnered significant airplay Australia wide. The single was also featured on the hit channel 7 T.V show ‘Winner and Losers.

Recently nominated in the finals of the Queensland Music Awards, for her song ‘Saviour’, in the Folk/Singer song writer category 2015.‘Saviour’ is an up beat recollection of her time on the road touring America and is also featured on her latest album ‘Gypsy Blood’. The positive reactions to Sue-Anne’s music highlights her ability in writing lyrics that are relatable and can be interpreted by her audiences on an intimate level.

Captivating audiences around the globe with her emotive live performances, recently Sue-Anne was invited to perform at the Canadian Music Week 2014. She also supported Ash Grunwald on his Australian tour, as well as Mat McHugh (The Beautiful Girls), Bobby Alu and Sandi Thom. She has also found herself gracing stages at the Falls Festival, The Reef Festival, Granite Town Festival, and finishing up 2014 with four packed out shows at Woodford Folk Festival.

Sue-Anne is currently back in the studio recording new material, and is looking forward to hitting the road again soon.
